
The joint project of FHC and King Abdulaziz University Research Endowment Fund signed a development contract with Sukna Development to develop the first Grease Monkey automotive service center in Jeddah.
The flagship Grease Monkey center will be opened in Jeddah before the end of Q1 2017 with a total area of 1,200 SqM and will have a capacity of 70 cars per day in addition to an advanced automatic car wash station with a capacity of 120 cars per day. The center is located in the north western side of Jeddah in Al Nahda District, within close distance of major city attractions.
The center will accommodate the management offices of the Grease Monkey HQ, in addition to a training facility which is affiliated with USA based “Grease Monkey University”. The training facility is a one of the major goals for Grease Monkey in Saudi Arabia as it aims to transfer the global technical and practical knowledge of the chain into the Kingdom to prepare a new generation of technical and skilled workforce.
FHC has set an aggressive strategy to promote entrepreneurship and franchising within Saudi Arabia leveraging on its partnership with global brands and training institutes. The strategy is in line with many of the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
FHC plans to launch a network of Grease Monkey centers spread all over the major regions of Saudi Arabia. The franchise agreement with Grease Monkey International also includes the first right to offer other countries within the MENA region which the company intends to expand into within the medium term horizon.
